About the Book:

This book is based on the common core revised syllabus (Engineering Physics-I and Engineering Physics-II) of U.P. Technical University. It explains in a simple and systematic manner, the basic principles and application of Engineering Physics.

Different chapters have been revised and more numerical problems as per requirement have been added. The book would serve as an excellent text for first year engineering students.

Some of the features of this edition:
  • Thoroughly revised in a simple and lucid manner.
  • Nanotechnology and Superconductivity chapters are presented in a better way.
  • Objective type questions are increased and arranged at the end of each concerned chapter.
  • The topics are arranged unit-wise i.e., in Engineering Physics-I, Relativistic Mechanics, Interference and Diffracting of Light, Polarizing of Light and Laser and Fiber Optics.
  • Short Answer Type Questions with Answers have been added.

  • The chapters such as Electromagnetics, Wave Mechanics, X-rays, Magnetic Properties of Materials, Dielectric Properties of Materials, Ultrasonics, Superconductivity and Nanotechnology are arranged in Engineering Physics-II.
