About the Author:

Dr. M.K. Sateesh is currently Faculty in P.G. Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology in the Bangalore University, Bangalore. He had earlier served as Scientific Personnel, Forensic Science Laboratories, Bangalore and Head of P.G. Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology in the Bangalore University affiliated college in Banasawadi, Bangalore. He had also served in the Department of Microbiology, J.J.M. Medical College, Davanagere, Kuvempu University, Faculty, Department of Botany and Microbiology, Mysore University. He is a visiting Professor and technology consultant for many colleges in Bangalore University affiliated colleges for teaching subjects such as Plant Biotechnology, Animal Cell Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genetics, Immunology, Immunotechnology, Bioethics and Biosafety, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Human genome and genomics. He is having more than 15 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Biotechnology, Microbiology and Forensic Science.

Dr. Sateesh has an authority on Phomopsis azadirachtar, a pathogen causing die-back disease of neem and has published a number of research papers in reputed journals at national and international levels in the field of Biotechnology, Microbiology and Forensic Science. He had been selected as Who`s Who in World under science and technology category and consulting editor for American Biographical Institute. Dr. Sateesh has written more than six books for UG and PG Biotechnology and Microbiology syllabus. He is a life member for Indian Biotech Association of Microbiologists of India and member for Biochemists of India, Mycological Society of India and Botanical Society of India. Dr. Sateesh has attended a large number of symposium, conferences, and workshops both at national and international levels in the field of Biotechnology, Microbiology and Forensic Science and won many awards in these fields.
